Subject: Is my site mail being read?

Hi, I'm trying to get in contact with Outoftouch via SITEMAIL regarding a purchase but I have had no response after 2 weeks. Is there any way for me to know if my mail has even been seen?

If you open your message you'll see below your name and who it was sent to if it has been seen by the recipient.

Sending anything by sitemail assumes that someone reads their sitemail everyday or so or even notices that they have sitemail. I've gone for days sometimes and not even logged into to Renderosity, let alone noticing if I had sitemail. Check a product's README file, sometimes the vendor puts their email address in it. You'd probably stand a better chance of it being noticed.

Hi, EClark1894, I'll have a look in the README but the instructions did say to use sitemail specifically. You are right that sitemail might not be checked daily but I would hope a vendor who askes to be contacted by sitemail would check it when they logged in. There could be reasons in the real world why the vendor may not have logged in so I am just waiting for a response, hopefully soon, but I will take up your suggestion and send an e-mail if one has been put in the README for that purpose. Thanks.

No e-mail in the README and still no reply from Outoftouch.

I think this must apply only to site admins. I just checked a bunch of my Sent messages, including some that I know were read b/c I got a reply, and not a single one of them has a "seen by..." line under the "to" line!

Thanks for the update, Perpetualrevision. As far as I can tell my messages haven't been read or, worse, read and no reply as it was to get an extra free item with a purchase. I hope that EClark1894 is right and it is just a matter of waiting for Outoftouch to read the mails.
