Since I had this problem twice I just want to report this here. Maybe others have the same problem and I can help to fix it:
Suddenly I noticed, that many figures of one type (in my last case G8F) looked strange. If I loaded the base figure, it looked ok, but somehow different like before. Other figures looked more or less ugly.
In the first case I found the solution my chance: For any reason I checked the 'Currently used' parameters of a figure and saw, that in addition to the indented parameters one parameter of a full body shape was set as well. I set this parameter to Zero and my G8F looked like I'm used, other figures like the promotional pictures.
Since I got this figure for free and it was not my preferred type of women I had no problems to delete all files (it is helpful if you save also the installation set somewhere, so you see for which product which files are in which folders so you know exactly what to delete)
The second time I had this problem I could not see something under 'Currently used'. So I did something different: I loaded a base figure and saved it as 'Shaping Preset'. Take care, that this file is not compressed. Then I opened this file with a suitable text editor like NotePad++. It contains a lot of lines like:
I replaced then all strings '"keys" : [ [ 0, 0 ] ]' with a word like 'OK' and searched then for the next appearance of '"keys" :'. Then I found a hand full of lines like:
So I knew that I have to remove the parameters for 'Bad Girl'. I searched for it and set it to Zero and my figures looked fine.
If you are in the same situation, you know how to make a figure looking 'Normal' although it's nerving to change always the parameters. But you should know the vendor of the figure and ask for a fix.
I don't think, that this will work in all cases, but in my particular situation it solved the 'Bad Girl'-Issue: In the folder ..DataDAZ 3DGenesis 8FemaleMorphs I found a subfolder with the name of the vendor, there a file like 'Bad Girl.Dsf'. I could open this with NodePad++ and saw at the beginning a section like
In this section I changed the "value" to 0 and now my figures come like expected!
Maybe this description will help you as well.
