Inspired by artwork by Vadim Voitekhovitch at DeviantArt, I'm playing around with building a steampunk airship figure.  Here are the beginnings.

That looks pretty cool :)

Added parts:

I began mimicking a design from a particular images, then incorporated features from other images, and then added design fillers.  There's no obvious logic behind the mechanisms.  The airship is more a passenger vessel than a warship but carries guns atop the bridge for self-defense.

A non-toon render:

It wasn't intentional but the airship in this toon render looks shark-like.

Now in the process of rigging.  No texturing yet.  Here are 2 Poser views.

Partially textured.  There will be several paint schemes.
