Subject: Removing unused files

uninstalling unused files, such as Genesis and genesis 2 also all of Vicky 4? I do not use any of these files or units and it would make more room on the hard drive.

What is the question - how to do it (uninstall Genesis whichever Starter Essentials) or whether it is safe (fairly, at least, though I don't do it)?

the question is it ok to do that what I was asking alltho I was not very spacific .I just wanted to clear up space on the drive, it is not needed to do but the files just sit and are not used, this was just a thought .

I know how to remove them ,but I do not want to screw up the studio in doing so.

The older Genesis X Starter Essentials are not required files, though they do have some non-Genesis content - Genesis 8 Starter essentials does have at least one set of files, for Face transfer, that are used by part of the application. The Default Resources are needed as they have the base shaders and other utilities.

If you use DIM to install your content then you can use the same app to uninstall it.  It does keep track of all the files and logs them.
