Subject: DSON Importer Poser

Hi there,

maybe it´s too easy to find a solution for it but I am new to Daz Stuff so...

I´ve successfully installed the DSON Importer in Poser but when I wanna open the DAZ Files in my poser library it says:
"DSON Importer requires a writable runtime folder that is outside Program Files"

So I simply added in the DSON Preferences the writable folder in DOWNLOADS in WIN - no effect
I´ve added it to the same folder like the Object - no effect

What´s missing?

These might help.

DSON Importer remains in the Main Poser Runtime folder but you need to write your files to a writable folder, i.e., Poser 11 Contents or a folder of your own creation.  I have created runtime folders for each of the Genesis figures from DAZ.

Question: is that Downloads folder located in Program Files or a shared location?

The Poser file is in F:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser 11 Content\Downloads\runtime\libraries\character\SciFi-Lab

I´ve tried every HDD but I think I know the problem, but can´t solve it

I´ve seen that there is a write-protection on everything. Even I can save and delete stuff on it as an admin, the folder options still says "write-protected" no matter how often I unchecked it. An I have the full access controls as admin.
So that´s why poser says it needs an writable folder.

I use win11 and I haven´t found a solution to it.

There should be no Poser 11 Content folder in Program Files.  This folder should be located in a shared location, i.e., User > Public > Public Documents > Poser 11 Content, that is why you are having write-protection errors even as admin.
