Subject: POSER 10 ON WNDOWS 10-11

Hello, please help me:
Does the physical version of Poser 10 works correctly on Windows 10 and 11?
And the activation for this version continues working or does it cause problems when activating it?
Thanks

One worry might be the use of Adobe AIR for the Library. I assume newer versions of Windows would run it, but you might want to check that. But it you can afford $50, you should know that you can get a Poser 12 licence for $49 via Graphixly. Or a Poser Pro 11.3 licence from NeoWin at $79. The latter should run most of your old Python scripts, and also the DAZ DSON importer and perhaps even the old PoserFusion plugins (if you ask it nicely, and can find the installers).

I'm not sure if the Smith Micro servers are still responding to licence pings from Poser 10 installs. Poser was sold to Renderosity / Bondware.

The Smith Micro license server is offline. I don't think Poser 10 requires it, though. Bondware gave a free upgrade to Poser 11.2 from versions of Poser above Poser 10, because those are the ones that stopped working after Smith Micro turned off their license servers.

Not sure about Adobe AIR. I know some people had problems when Adobe pulled the plug on Flash, and Windows auto-removed it. Not sure if that affected Poser 10.

Poser 10 and its pro counterpart Poser Pro 2014 are freestanding applications and don't require online activation.  However, there are remaining issues with Adobe Flash and Adobe AIR.  Some of those issues were solved with the service releases, I believe there are 4 of those in existence.  I had Poser Pro 2014 installed on a computer that transitioned from Win 7 to Win 10 and it still performed without any problems.

Hi, i don't know if you still need advice on this but to let you know I'm running Poser 10 on a brand new PC running Windows 11 and had no trouble installing or running it at all. I just launched it after the full installation, added my name and serial number only, unchecked the updates and register boxes and away it went. It didn't try to contact any licensing servers. I did have to set the libraries to external though after the first launch and, if you check out my post on this forum from the other day, I had to add contentparadise to the windows host file to stop the certificate popup.

Hope this is of use.
