I recently made a background for a poser project (jpg format) Then I was away from home for 3 days and can't remember what I called the background or where I stored it on the comp. It's still there in the PZ3 file but I need to find it on my hard disc to do more work on it.Does Poser tell you anywhere what the background is called lilke material editor stores the name of the texture files. I can't find any reference to the name in the project. I've done a search for Jpg's, but unfortuanately there are about two and half thousand on the comp and without knowing the name it's an impossible task. If any one can help please reply. thanks

I have a feeling you may be SOL. If I understand Poser correctly, the document is just an index -- you're pulling this character, this pose, this bunch of clothes, this lighting, this background, and it re-assembles all of this information every time you re-open the document. It'll show up in the preview, but when you try to do a final render, it'll need the track to the actual jpeg.

Have you looked at the Pz3 in a text editor to see if the image name/path is there? Or is the image embeded in the Pz3?

That is the answer. Look at the PZ3 with a text editor. The background filename is near the beginning of the file, in the first 20 lines or so.
