Well this is my Third big animation with this error and i have found a temporary work around, And I suspect that others will eventually run into this. Apparently Carrara is having problems with the post-effect filters. While I am not a programmer and do not know this for sure, my last two animations kept puking with the motion blur filter on and this one kept puking until I removed the aurora filter. So just a word of warning :)

I have a "Nil Pointer Error Has Occured" error I can not get rid of!! Last time due to help from this board I found out that b/c my textures where spread out all over the place Carrara was freaking out. This time I consoldated all the files onto one drive and I still get the error. Next I decide that maybe the textures where just too large. I turn an 8gig photoshop sequence into a 700meg jpeg sequence and I turn a 550 meg avi to a 20meg jpeg sequence...still I get the NIl Pointer error. If I use goroud shading for the render its fine, but If I use t-maps it screws up. I really cant compress anymore. I have tried making this work on a system with 385megs of ram and another with 512 megs and its still kicking out the error. Anyone else have any suggestions? Its annoying b/c the first frame always renders and saves, the second frame renders then crashes. Man this stinks!
