Im haveing a problem when i export a object as 3ds from poser then try to import it to poser I get a 'bad media' error?? when I try it as a .obj it fails on importing as well, sometimes crashing Bryce. Ive tried the same thing with 2 diferant objects and the same thing. One is loaded to Poser as a Prop the other as a character. As there both doing the same thing Im pretty sure its something Im Doing or Not doing in the export process from poser, Using poser 4 updated and Bryce 4 updated. Any help much appriciated Im going bald from pulling my hair out LOL Thx :)

Bryce has a problem with importing large objekts.dont know what you want to import, but look at your exported file. if its bigger than about 12 mb it will you get an " out of memory error" if the file is smaller, load it in uvmapper and save it from uvmapper, sometimes that solves problems

Try saving them out in another format than .obj the .3ds works many times when .obj does not, and Bryce can read it.

I had this problem once before. I was importing 3DS files into a poser scene, and exporting the whole shooting match as as obj, and imported into bryce and it crashed. I exported everything one piece at a time until I found the culprit, it was a length of chain, left it out, and rebuilt the scene in bryce without it. Since then I discovered that I can get around this if i save any imported 3ds stuff to the poser library, before building the scene. If everything comes from the poser library I don't have this kind of problem exporting as an obj, even the length of chain that bollixed me up before.

I have found even after loading in a 3d item, saving it to poser library, that some items won't load into Bryce. Most of the time it is a prop.

be sure you are importing with the import on the file menu, not the one on the object palette.

Also it kind of deends on what the file is. There is a problem with the Vicki pants from Pro Pack. It works fine from normal poser. Every once in a while it is a texture that goofs it as well. Good luck
