Maybe I can save you a whole lotta work. Check out the Dinosaurs page. And download to your hearts desire ;-) ScottAHi again, Scott Micrograpx is bought by Corel. I've written to Corel, and asked them about the copyright to those models, - and how to handle it. Apparently they don't know yet (or the persons I've asked don't), because Simply 3D is a dead product (sadly!), and in order to get the models to work in Bryce/Poser, they need quite some work, AND editing. I'll wait a while, and then contact Corel again. I'll also ask the former Product responsible person who used to work for Micrographx about the copyright to those models. Thank you for warning me, though. :) Britt
heyas; it might be quicker and easier if you import the obj into poser with the 'reverse normals' checked. but only if ALL the normals are backwards when you open it normally. if you're making cr2's that point to an obj, and not directly loading in the obj, you can still do this. just import the obj with nothing but invert normals on, and then re export it. but BE CAREFUL that you get the options right to preserve the body part names. dont close poser until you double-check in a txt editor or uvmapper to see if the group names came out. if i'm not mistaken, you check 'include body part names' but NOT 'include existing groups,' and definitely turn off 'include figure names.' do 'weld body part seams.' if you have uvmapper, you might also try saving the obj with no normals at all. however, this might not stop poser from remembering the obj faces inside out. when you replace the obj, remember to delete the geometry rsr, so poser will re-read it.
