Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 13 6:58 am)
Hello Tom! This is a common problem with the GeForce cards. It should have been adressed in the latest Vue 4.03 update. Try deselecting opengl in the options menue and there should not be any artefacts, and you however will be limited to wireframe view. The are many posts an this issue with plenty of usefull tips. Hope this helps a bit! Cheers Peter
Cannot believe that E-On haven't sorted this one out. GeForce cards are hardly uncommon. I've tried an GeForce, a GeForce 3 and an old ATi 8Mb card. Guess which one performs flawlessly? Yep, the old ATi. A quick and dirty fix is to toggle between full and four screen modes using the F7 key. This removes the artifacts but they reappear when an object is moved. Ho hum.
Thanks for everyone's help. I deleted the guilty DLL that E-on suggested and the program works fine now (and thankfully my computer too). Since I'm not a big gamer I'm not overly concerned, but I can always reinstall the driver if need be. I wasn't even getting decent wireframe views with Open GL deselected, so I needed to do something radical. At any rate I'll keep looking for new patches and updated drivers. I emailed PNY about the problem but got a canned response and no answer as to when a new driver would be available. In the meantime I should probably email E-on and bitch at them too, they should be able to resolve this issue with yet another patch in my mind. Hopefully View 5 won't have similiar glitches.

Hi Guys, I just got Vue 4 and am having a problem with my the 3d views looking gray and having artifacts. I updated both Vue and my video card driver and deselected "allow multiple threads" in the options, but am still having some artifacts. Does anyone have any undocumented way to dealing with this problem other than what Vue has posted in the FAQ's. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions. Tom
