Hi Alexssander, For every light you add, if the light beams cross each other, then the light will get more intense. Quadratic lights try to mimic natural light decay. You can have these lights in any colour you wish. I've got the experimental animation (584KB) here which will show the interaction of the lights: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/martin.childs/animations/lights.avi I'm afraid it is in DivX format (http://www.divx.com/), and because the file is not hosted at my main site and on a free host, it may be wise to right click the link and "Save Target As...".Martin

Martin: OK, I'm downloading...Test Run my ass... That was a lot of crappy advertisement....waiting..... During this endless download: Can you make gobos/flowers on that light? If you don't know what that is, I linked a picture. It's maybe a little bit difficult to see that on the picture.(That's an old one).Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=97961&Start=13&Artist=Alekssander&ByArtist=Yes
Martin: Didn't look to bad, but since I've worked with lights and light controlling, I had to laughf. And how do I turn this thing of..... So now I just have to wait to get a new computer, so that I can bye Vue 4.....One thing that I wanted to see with the animation, is if Vue had problems with multiple volumetric light cones crossing each other. As you can see the transitions are very smooth amongst the light cones.
Hope that helps,
Martin

Not realy, but that's close enough. Thanks. I still can't find gels in my dictionary though. How did you make that animation, if I may ask? I made some gif animations, but there is possible to make animations directly in Vue 4, right? Or do I have to render a hundred frames, as I had to do with the gif-animations?
Hi, You can render the animation out as one animation file (i.e.AVI, MPEG, MOV etc) from within Vue 4. I still prefer to render out individual uncompressed frames myself...although uncompressed full frame AVI is just the same, just without the mess ;) I hope you don't mind me asking Alekssander, what type of machine are you running...Vue 4 is able to run on quite low powered PC's, compared to the machines manufactured now. Hi Alekssander, You can indeed make objects move, like the lights in the animation. If you play with the textures, you can also animate them. In still images, you can give the appearance of movement by adding motion blur...the possibilities are endless really. It is interesting about your computer though. In the Vue manual they reccommend at least a 300MHz Pentium 2, 64MB RAM...so your machine meets the minimum specs. Of course it does not really matter if you use Athlon or Pentium processors though.
