Subject: Saving a facial animation

Is there any way to store a facial animation in my library so that I can apply it to other figures? I saved a lip-sync animation as a multi-frame "Faces" entry, but when i tried to apply it to another figure the lip-sync was gone... Thanks, -Jeremy

I think Lipsinc uses a custom set of Morph Targets in their process. The figure that you apply the animation to must also have these MTs.

DW - More details please. Do you mean the timing was different or the mesh was posed differently? Hey JeffH, what is the Lipsinc product you mentioned?

Nance - I think JeffH hit the nail on the head - the animation WAS from a .pz3 created with LipSINC's online demo. Lipsinc is in the process of beta testing (private beta) a lip-synching product called Mimic, which takes a .wav file, analyzes the speech within, and automatically makes your character's lips move accordingly. You can find more information at http://www.lipsinc.com

Now that sounds pretty handy -- if it works. Thanks.
