On a technical note, it is nice to see a realistic male texture for once. My own body hair percentage is roughly equal to the 3rd guy from the left... hard to do a self-portrait (clothed, you pervs!) with the stock textures that are out now. (heh; if only my upper body muscle definition was roughly equal to that illustrated...) BTW - for the sake of realism, has anyone tried doing hirsute female textures (ie: a vast number of women in Europe that generally don't shave their 'pits, etc)? Just curious, /P
Well... ? Not that I'm really into such things, but if you're making a realistic medieval/ancient female character*, or even a modern European woman... well, there's just some things you gotta have present. (That's what I find so funny about all the 'Vicky in a temple' artworks - especially the ones that claim to be as realistic as possible :) Besides, it's not that bad - I dated a German foreign exchange student back in high school who didn't shave; her appearance didn't bother me a microfraction as much as I thought it would have. (Okay, so what if I was a hormone-soaked boy back then - big deeeal :) *The only historical exception would be Roman upper-class women. Roman ladies had their stray hairs pulled out... literally. Anyrate, I was just curious more than anything else. /P
Howdy me again, Glad yall like what yall see! in answer to yall's questions : 1. Release date is ... well I'am gunning for a mid february release. All textures are hi rez 4000x4000 and i am hoping to have at least six bodys for sure, four heads for sure perhaps more. 2.I have been feeding them only the finest organic foods and beverages ....all they can eat. hehe not all poser men can ripped and uber buff : ) 3. Different skin tones ! Well thats easy, they work well with different base underlying croams in moderation. African hair type is different in structure , and hispanice skin tones can be achieved but the body hair may not look right in all lighting situations. 4. My next project is the European ursus femailus. AKA large and in charge women who arent afraid to flaunt some masculine traits. LOL , just kidding ! shudders stay tuned for more of the finalists , and thank you all again! Happy Rendering, Jeff
You have a point Penguinisto. To be entirely accurate would require that. Good thing I never worry about accurate. LOL! Seriously though...I think it is just the way some of us are raised. I can't imagine letting it grow like that. shudder The thought is weird. Okay...I'm done. Jeff - I am looking forward to these! Michael has always been a bit to "pretty" for my tastes. ;o)
Boy, I'm going to show my ignorance here. Is the goal of the Michale the Bear concept to show big, burly, hairy men?! If so, you succeeded. As for hair men being "real," most of my "obvious hair" is on my head and face. The rest of my body hair is visible, if you look close enough, under a good light. I'm 52, so it is not an age thing. That's ok, because I hear that "hairless bodied men" live longer! Ron
Looking forward to seeing more Jeff! The one on the far right looks almost exactly like an old flame of mine!
