Any body know how to use it? Do you need a prop first, are there any tutorials for it? I can't seem to find anything about it. Maybe a pic or two might help. Thanks.

First, this is NOT a useful function [per se] in Poser.

It is something that you can "play" with but doesn't go anywhere.

  1. select an "object" in the studio.
(use the "ground" if you want)

  2. [keyboard] type "hair" and a window pops up

  3. Hair will appear to be growing on the selected object as can be seen in the studio window. The "hair" can be changed using the input "sliders" but you can't do anything with the "hair" - that is, you can not save it as an object because it does not generate any "facet" information.

I suspect that this "function" was implemented for (internal) testing of the software.

It's fun to play with. [for a while anyway]

MASA has a freeware utility called FurFur, which allows you to convert the line polygons generated by Poser's TreeMaker tool into usable, renderable geometry.

The website also has a short tutorial for FurFur.
