Check it out. www.paypal.com Just another method of using ya credit card to by stuff. Most merchants that use it, use it because paypal only take a small %age (3-5% or something), unlike the borker places who take 40%-75%. Lots of people have differing opinions on paypal...I guess its up to the buyers discretion. Cheers -LW
I have used PayPal on my site for over a year now and am very pleased with their system. I am confident in their security and impressed by the level of service. On the occasions that I have needed to contact them directly I have had my questions answered promptly and accurately by a real live human not just a menu driven recording.
I highly recommend them.

Paypal enable you to use a bank account to make your payments, even if you don't have a credit card. I've used it a lot, especially on ebay, with no problem.. but many people claim to have had problems. Some people say that paypal has 'seized' their money, simply because someone has made a complaint about a transaction. Supposedly, paypal has also altered their user agreement in a way that gives them the right to seize additional funds directly from your bank account. (they have access to your account so that funds can be moved back and forth from your paypal account.) The link leads to one of the 'anti-paypal' sites.I have used it without a problem for well over a year and recommend it highly. If you use it via your credit card, don't expect to use it immediately though - once you join PayPal, you must wait until your next credit card statement arrives before you receive your access number. Then, you can purchase from the net. :) Irene

That's not quite true. You only have to wait when you're using funds from your bank account. Anyone can use their credit card instantly. Go ahead and try it at the link. When i tried to setup a PayPal account, it wouldnt let me. I emailed them and got a response with a phone number. When I called them, they found someone had opened 2 accounts under my name with diff email addys but no credit card or payment method. Told me they would report it to their fraud department and would be cleared in a couple days. 4 days later I tried to open up an account and still couldnt. Unfortunately, I deleted the email with the phone number. I emailed them several times asking why this hadnt been cleared up and got NO repsonse back from them. I dont trust them. Some vendors, like Sams3D, will work with you to arrange other ways for payment, from what I have read :)
I have tos ay that we allow the use of paypal at 3-D Arena because of the number of people that don't have credit cards. But I'm not overly thrilled with them. For over a week I didn't get any notices about sales and of course unlike my merchant's account there is no direct download. So generally if you pay via paypal you have a wait to get your item. But it is good if you don't have a cc and I'm always surprised by how many use it over the regular merchant's account option - even though they know they have a wait for their downloads..

God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has
intended us to forgo their use.

My wife has a PayPal account, and only used it twice in 3 years, to pay my web site host for different services. I remarked to him that PayPal seems pretty inconvenient when I can shop elsewhere on the internet without going through "more hoops to spend my money." He says he's been doing this for years, and no one else complains. That's often his standard answer whenever we don't agree on things. Personally, I avoid doing business with merchants who insist on using Paypal, and don't offer the easier alternative of using the credit card "directly and securely." Ron

What's "Pal Pal"? I purchased Items on Renderosity, Daz3d, etc. using my credit card, but I went to purchase an Item on a different store site and they have "Pay Pal". I wanted to fimd out what it was before I made a purchase. Is it safe? What's involved? :(
