You misunderstand. The conversation IS one sound file, but it was split up for use in mimic. The long sound file is imported into poser. I've noticed that mimic automatically sets the sound file to the one it used to lipsync; maybe that's the problem. Is there a way to disable it from doing this? Thanks, -Jeremy
What I do is play the final soundtrack wav file into my earphones, while dictating/creating a new wav of the one character using my own voice. Now you have a new wav, with the same timing only separated. Dictate the other character into it's own wav. Then create separate Mimic pz2 files. I also do this if a track has alot of music or noise. I just use the built in Windows wav recorder. This makes a separate, clean wav for individual MiMIC files.
Here's another posibillity: Create a wave file with the entire sound recording of a conversation, and then create the mimic file. It will have only one of the 2 characters having the entire conversation. But if you cut out the key frames for the parts that character B is supposed to talk then character A is set - he'll only be talking for his part of the conversation. Re-apply the mimic pose to character B. Cut out all of character A's speech keyframes (keeping the ones you cut out of character A's) and then it should look like they are having a conversation. I haven't tried this yet, but it seem like it should work. Any takers?

I have a scene with two characters having a conversation. It doesn't work. When I apply the animation to the second character at the point at which I want him to start talking, the animation itself is truncated to the length of his speaking animation, and the two characters speak concurrently. I know I could do separate animations and put them together, but that is an enormous pain in the ass. It seems like this should be possible. LipSinc people, do you know how to do this? If it is impossible, could you make sure the ability to do this gets into the final release? I don't think I'd pay $400 (or however much it will cost) if such a simple feature isn't present.
