This is my entry for the June Challenge "Desktop". I call it "Desktop". Thank you.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Everything looks great, except for the color of the desk (too light and weak). Nice book and apple!

Well, HardRock, I went to a rural school in the 1960's and our desks were made entirely of this cheap-looking pressed wood with no stain and only a lightly-lacquered finish(Similar to what you see in this pic). I actually tried several different wood grain procedural textures before I settled on this one. When I tried darker woods, 1. it just didn't look like I remembered it, and 2. the grain became stronger and made the focal point of the work the grain itself, I thought. Thanks for the comments!
