Subject: Need help with that sinking feeling

Hi, everyone. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I import a BVH file into Poser, after making sure the figure(s) are aligned to the ground plane with the "Drop to Floor" command. But at various points in the animation, the figure sinks below the ground plane. Now some of these BVH files are large--over 1000 frames--and I'd hate to have to go through them frame by frame and reposition each sinking figure back to the floor, so I'm asking--has anyone found a solution or a better approach to preventing characters from sinking below the floor when importing BVH files? Is there some animation command I don't know about here that will make my life easier? Thanks in advance to all who help.

With PPP, there's a Python Script available that automatically does so. Unfortunately, for P4, there is no such easy fix AFAIK.

To get your figure on the ground, try parenting your figure to a dummy prop and drop that prop to the floor. Adjusting this prop rather than the figure's hip maintains the integrity of the original BVH.

I had that problem with the drop to floor command, so I tried manually dragging the figure down in the first frame and that seemed to do the trick.
