Subject: how can i change defaults in vue?

Hi everybody, Maybe a very simple question, maybe not. When i start Vue, the first thing i always have to do is changing the settings of the main camera. I think its a lot easier to deal with scenes when the camera is pointing towards one of the major axes (the y axe for example). Does anybody know wether there is a possibility to change these defaults? Especially for the Mac version i am working with. If thats not possible maybe this could go to the "wish list" for the next version. Walther (Wabe)

Walther, you cannot change these camera defaults. But what you can do is the following: Create a new scene, place your camera in the axis you like and save the scene as default.vue. Then each time you start a new scene, just call this image. :-)Guitta

heyas; you can have vue load the scene on startup. this is my command line for vue: M:SVUEVue4.exe M:SVUEScenes-default.vue just put the path to the scene after the path to the program, separated by a space. :) it has my camera and empty sky, but vue doesn't seem to remember the render settings i set for it. it keeps using the ones for the last scene i did. i think the prefs can change that, but i'm not sure exactly which one :/

hi, thanks for your help. But is that a Mac solution? It doesn't look like. Regarding the render settings, you can use one setting in the Prefs. Because i am using a german version og vue it is difficult for me to tell you wich one. It is setting number 10 (counted from the top) and translated it must be something like "reset render settings for new scene". But to switch that off doesn't help really. Because (my version of) Vue keeps the defined resolution but loses the anti-aliasing settings and always goes back to "preview mode". But again, thanks for your reply :-)) Walther

I think that the bloodsong's tip concern the shortcut of Vue. For the render settings, I think that you must go to change'em each time you load Vue... I suppose that having the opportunity to set your own defaults (camera or render settings) could figure in the Vue5 wishlist... :-)
