Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 26 2:05 pm)
ok as I see it bud .. it looks excellent (travelling the Hellraiser series more .. kewl) As I seen 4th is right about the bones names. I take it that you wish the hooked chains going into the body or wrapping the arms? Assuming the first .. it's gonna be hard unless you make them act as a seperate posable cr2/pp2 where the hooks smart prop to the body parts you want them to. I know little about conforming but after reading through Nerd's tutorial a while back, when I made Alendra (Many thx Xurge for the chest piece it worked out great) but what I do know is that the bone names and axis need to be the same. One way that might work is creat invisible bones that adhere to the name of the body parts you want them conforming to ... like a chest if you want a hook through the chest ... then smart prop or parent the hook end into the invisible chest piece. Theoretically it would work so long as the chain is posable. In that matter best to treat the posability of the chain as a snake. Then maybe you can add pose files to it to make the chains go at different angles and etc.. either way though it seems best to look at the chain as a seperate cr2/pp2. Hope this helps some bud.
heyas; why are you making it a conforming figure, instead of just a regular figure that is parented to the hand? it seems to me, you're trying to create more problems for yourself than you need. (besides which, if it doesn't conform, you can stick it in any character's hand, without having to re-do a whole cr2 for each one). unless there's some other parts that follow other body parts, that i don't see in these previews.
ok, I think I understand the problem - you need to insert a bone between the ones that are already there. or - you have joint 1 & 3 connected and need to put in #2 so that you have a 1-2-3 connection, not a 1-3-2 or two separtate connections of 1-2 & 1-3. if I'm right about that, then the fix is... (drum roll please) select the bone shown in your image that is between the green crosshairs and the red circle (the hand I suppose) create the missing bone (you can adjust this later) now select one of the bones that is supposed to be attached at the other end, go to the file menu and select Object-Change Parent and have it point to the newly created missing bone, repeat as needed.

Having a bit of a conforming problem as shown in picture. The handle should be in his hand, when not conformed its sitting in the proper spot, but when conforming it moves off to the side like that. Actor body, and Actor hand values match exactly. Need a solution to fix this problem or Thoughts on fixing it. This is NOT a prop it is a Conforming Figure.
