I have been creating some terrains for a set I am working on not to good at it but working on it. BTW who is the terrain guru for pro work I was thinking about making this a freestuff item - but I have been reading some read me's with models that are free and they have all these disclaimers - not responible for this or that or if it ruins your computer, etc, etc. Is their a standard wordage to use?

Best way to create terrains is with Bryce. Terrains and Lattices export in .obj format with texture, so you can have a ball since there's no limit to the type of terrains made in Bryce.

The disclaimers are pretty much standard - giving something away for free, it's only prudent to protect yourself from the possibility of someone blaming your mesh for some problem they may have caused themself. Your terrain looks pretty good, you might want to consider completing the bottom of the lake, anyone who wishes can add a water-plane that intersects at whatever water-level they desire, and sometimes it's desirable to see into the water to the bottom. (Just a suggestion...:-))

If you want a hole, you'll have to use a Bryce lattice. This is a bryce terrain exported with texture.

Thanks for the input on Bryce. BTW what conveter are you using to convert the obp to obj so it can be used in Poser? Ok I tried another render but not anti-alias. leather-guy: then putting the hole thru the terrain was not needed for the lake. Thanks for the tip. BTW could you float this in space and then put the water under the model so you can see the space fishies flying around? :-)

No converter. Bryce terrains export directly as .obj's. Its only the primitive objects that are obp.

Thanks EricofSD I tried the tut and it did not work for me - I guess it does not work for ver 3.1 but does in 4 and 5.
