Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 14 12:25 pm)
Pro Pack can optionally compress/uncompress its files on-the-fly, using the same lossless compression algorithms found in .zip archives. Since most Poser filetypes are text files, you can really shrink 'em down. The compressed files have filename extensions ending with a "Z" to indicate that they're compressed. Advantage? The files are smaller, so you have more room on your hard drive. Disadvantage? Poser 4 (without Pro Pack) can't read them directly. And Pro Pack has to uncompress them before it can use them, so it takes a bit longer to load something from the Library.
Other users will probably have to put the obj in the same folder that yours is in, since Pro Pack wrote the CR2 to specifically look for the obj in that folder. But you can edit the CR2 with a text editor (WordPad, EditPad, etc.) and change the folder names so that it looks elsewhere. Another solution is to embed the .obj in the CR2 itself, so that it doesn't need to look anywhere. But I haven't learned how that's done yet.

I have pro pack and need to convert this obz file that I got from adding to my libary so it can be used in both pro and poser. Is there a converter out there to help me convert this file?
