Hello everybody I was wondering if there is any way to create "constraints" in PoserPro. If any of you has ever used Maya you may know there are orient, aims, position... and I want to do this in Poser. We have the "point to" command but I don't believe it's enough. This could be used for things such as handcuffs. Lets say you handcuff your character and then move the arms. The cuffs would follow it's respective hand and the chain would behave accordingly to the cuffs' position. As a matter of fact that's exactly what I am planning to do.

Maybe some sort of ERC controls added in?

Kind of like circular parenting, pehaps? I know I have wanted this feature for things like handcufs, numbchucks, etc. for years. Is this what you're talking about? -Tim

That is EXACTLY what I am talking about timoteo1 Message671422.jpg I would be cool to have that feature in Poser... but I don't know if Poser 5 will have it

You might be able to manage something in Poser 5 with the cuffs as rigid props and the chain as a dynamic cloth object with each end pinned to a separate cuff. I'm not completely sure it would work that way, but it's one of the many experiments I plan to conduct.

I asked about something similar and was given a good tip. I wanted to keep both hands on a sword. Parent the sword to the right hand. Turn IK on for the left hand. Then parent the left hand to the sword. It worked for a sword, it might work for handcuffs.

Before they made me they broke the mold!
