Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
Yes, you can achieve those effects in Poser 5. I was playing around with animated maps (texture, bump, transmap) the other day. The shader nodes have a lot of potential. They're like transparency, though; you usually can't see the effect until you render. Trying for the Godzilla '98 atomic eyeball, eh? I was planning something similar, myself, but got sidetracked by the procedural shaders.

Just a quick video to show what Poser5 will hopefully be able to do with animated textures, The ground has 2 textures & the ball has 6, this was rendered in Bryce5, encoded with DivX 5.02, compressed 11Mb down to 82Kb. Sorry to anyone who can't view this but I can't argue with compression ratios like that. Rob
