.....ahhhhh.....Not sure I followed that part about the .UVS files. Does this mean that when I scramble up a figure's actual UV layout (as I am often inclined to do since you've made it so wonderfuly easy) I can now just post these changes with one of your .UVS thingamabobs instead of the corpulent, bandwidth sucking .OBJ & .PCF files?
Yes, the .uvs file contains all the required texture coordinate data. The condition is that for anyone to use the .uvs file, they must have the original model too. I added this feature to get around the problem of not being allowed to redistribute models for which we don't own the copyright. Um, not wanting to seem dense, but what's a .pcf file?
Oh, excellent. I've been meaning to check out Maz' OBJaction mover utility. Thanks. By the way, at the moment, .uvs files are text only and based on the .obj file format (only containing 'vt' and abbreviated 'f' lines) which means the files are still pretty big. I'm thinking about adding an option to use a binary format for .uvs files...
Steve, I tried the new UVMapper on one of my "problem" models and.........it worked!!!! I didn't seem to have to use the insert key though, apparently your program automatically fixes this stuff.....thanks for providing a fix for this, I'm very happy!!!! And again, UVMapper is a great program!!!!! Krel

Greetings - UVMapper Windows version 0.24b is now available for download. The most important new feature is the ability to export and import something I call .uvs files. This feature will allow you to remap a model, save the texture coordinate information, create a texture map and distribute it along with the .uvs file. Anyone who has the model can download your texture map and .uvs file, and use UVMapper to apply your .uvs file to their model. They can then apply your texture map and render. I've also added a feature that will check for degenerate facets. If you're seeing black facets when rendering in Poser, load the model into UVMapper and press the Insert key (see Help->Hotkeys). This will check for degenerate facets (the cause of the black facet problem in Poser) and allow you to remove any it finds. As always, feedback is appreciated.
