i recently spoke to someone from zygote and was told the morphs are soon to come, very soon! sag to say they won't be free, i guess but as we expected they're working on it we still count on our own great artists here :-) -Ede

Doug Wheeler here...glad to say that the morphs that we will be creating will be a FREE update. They will be coming soon, the cloths too will be coming. I hope that this will make some happy and others more happy. :) With the advaned blendzones and joints that were set up it is to be expected that the only clothing not conform very well. We are in a transition from the old style and the new style. This is good because new clothing will be released...which a ton of people have wanted all along. We appreciate all the remarks people have been giving and we want you all to know that we do listen, we don't like getting flamed just like next person, but we can understand and be empathetic...please be with us. If anyone has any questions please let me know... Sincerely, Doug Wheeler doug@zygote.com poser@zygote.com

Thanks Doug. After having dealt with you on the other issue this will be very good news. One question for yout techs - I keep getting a "Caught C" exeption error but only when attempting to change the body texture on the new model. I've been limited to the face (and it worked REALLY well for an article I did on speech pathology). and yes folks - this is a public kiss up. If we keep getting positive responces from Zygote they will get more business and the prices will get better and more free stuff will come of it.

sigh... guess I'll have to - I hate actually having to WORK at something though. All that file swapping.... (yup - getting lazy now that I have two jobs)

I haven't gotten any C exceptions and I've used a lot of different textures-face and body. I also don't have the patch--cause I didn't know what I was going to get into (both with installing it AND any resultant problems--and I've gone along nicely with P4 'as is'-I don't put a lot of strain on it, I guess, because I import usually for anything other than a straight pose to Bryce). You're telling me, I guess, that I need to do that G. ---sigh----. Does anyone want to just suggest what it entails? (or is it one of those easy patches??). Diane B

Thanks a lot Doug for the info! S

There is a list of files that the patch replaces. You just need to back up the originals of these files. It's not hard, just tedious for those of us (namely me) who are lasy and want an installer to do all the work for us.

LoboUK ( ) posted Tue, 28 March 2000 at 2:45 PM

Diane, despite what some lazy so-and-so's say (grin), the patch is really really simple. Kill all of the export plugins, then simply copy the files from the patch to your P4 directory. It even tells you exactly where the various files are to go Paul

Ikyoto ( ) posted Tue, 28 March 2000 at 3:00 PM

if I went so busy trying to take a nap I'd tell you off Paul.... can someone come over here and hit the reply button for me? i'll wait.... oh, all right! I'll do it myself!

Ikyoto have a good beer and take some rest ;-) seems like you'll need it!! don't get tired and risk to mess up with my annie *g

Jaager ( ) posted Tue, 28 March 2000 at 3:59 PM

If you are real paranoid about the patch, just rename the files that you are replacing by putting an "X" at the start of the name and leave them in place, then drop the new ones in. I have not been tempted to remove the "X". The only "not good" thing I noticed was that Poser seems to be a tad sluggish. It acts like it has a high poly scene when it don't.
