does anyone know how to make custom bvh files. are there any ways to get a bvh file from a video tape rather than paying someone out the wazoo to film one? i know if it is possible it wont bee that great in quality but i need to find a way to make some animations without spending too much money on them and without spending endless hours keyframing action sequences...to my knowledge there are none already in existance.. at least none that are publically available..i need athletic actions...such as boxing and wrestling, football and basketball on on one shots..i ma working on a sports game and would really like to know... Thanks for any help given..

I know of one way ,with the program life forms 3.5 you can edit their motion capture data by adding to a motion ,for example for a running bvh file you could make the right arm move up and down to similate a dribble as the character is running ,it is a versatile program that could be a valuable tool ,I've only used the trial version and I do like it. check out the site. Hope that helps. http://www.credo-interactive.com --criticom--

Watch out, the lifeforms trial demo,(if it is the same as mine)expires 20 days from the time you get the serial number, not from when you install. Excellent software though. Able to use as standalone or with other apps. Span<;)>

I happen to know of a company that offers custom motion capture for as little as $2.00 a movement. If you are interested email me: Chaig14739@aol.com
