A couple things might help, first do you have a backup file for this original pic? Second is Poser the application open at the same time Bryce is? Third do you have any background software running while you are trying to save your pic? Sharen PS: what OS are you running?

First, do you have the latest patch? Second, try running the object you're importing through Grouper 1.4+, it may need repairing.

Also try checking the names of the 2D textures you are using, if they are too long you can get an error. I would also save my scene in steps, that way you can always go back but don't have to start over. If it is a very large file, do it in pieces, then merge when you are ready to render. Good suggestion to run the object through Grouper. Good Luck! Arleen

There are a lot of things worse than dying, being afraid all the time would be one.

Infra5, also, I believe W98 limits you to 128Meg of memory. there are memory managers designed for W98 to help with this - also save between steps with a new filename. Grouper is good to clean up the file but in bryce 3.1 the textures do not seem to be imported with the object, so I think you'll still have to do that part manually. - TJ

Lack of memory might be the problem. I've heard that bryce won't save if it doesn't get enough RAM. I've never experienced that problem myself, but here's a thread that might help: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=971557
