Description

In the Austrian Alps you have to watch careful where to put your feet on the track. Not only because of the rocky tracks but also to pay attention to little animals like this alpine salamander (Salamandra atra) that suddenly appeared right before our feet! It was great to shoot it and soon it disappeared! They like to warm themselves in the sun when it's cold, and with this black shiny skin they'll warm up easy. Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments Minolta X-700 (Agfa CT 100, 70 mm and cropped)

Love salamanders! Is there any detail to salvage in the salamanders shadowy side? Would love to see the pattern better. What a wonderful find!
