Description

Mind yer heid ~@~ Some of the tunnels climbed steeply up and exited onto precarious (but protected) little ledges. Imagine crossing this terrain in winter with the risk of being shot at and bombed at every opportunity. A little further on, one of our party dislodged a fridge size rock that crashed down into the cloud. We could hear it continue down for a very long time....gulp... Lagazuoi June 05

Great shot here! This looks like a fun hike, although a little hairy...I couldn't imagine it being so much fun back then when it was full of snow and people were ready to shoot at you. Nice POV, gives a nice perspective...Aloha~

Oh WOW! Fantastic image with striking colours and story. I keep thinking about these people actually living here. Terrifying.

It must have been a horrible place to wage war - especially during winter as you say. They had a lot more than fridge sized loose rocks to watch out for (and that's bad enough...). Very nice capture!
