Description

Summer is not summer without a trip to Virginia Lakes, in the Sierras of California. This is my favorite place! I come here every summer! I love this hike because it is a canyon terraced with a lake or lakes on almost every level. This is one of three lakes on this terrace called "Frog Lakes". I will be posting more of our little hike to this beautiful place in the next few days. This image has not been postworked. The sky was hazy, but I didn't have time to do much except frame it. Thanks to all who helped on my last two posts. I really enjoyed all the suggestions and hope to work on it more and maybe repost it again at some point. Enjoy and have a great day! Kim

Oh my God Kim!!! I can totally see why this is your favorite spot!!! WOW!!! Its absolutely breathtaking!!! You sure live in such a pretty place dont ya? I hope you packed your picknick basket with some pancakes, M&M and coffee...mmmmm....all ya need a day like that. Beautiful capture, cant even see it needing any touch ups at all!!!! I always pictured Virginia as a summery hot place with no snow. This is truly a beautiful spot you have found. :-) I'm going backwards in your gallery and I think I like the second shot better but the reflections in the water are awesome in this one! :-) I'm so sorry I didn't notice these before!
