Description
If this image looks familiar to some of you, then you have a good memory. I originally posted a similar image roughly 22 months ago, only that one featured Little_Dragon's recently released "Mia, the Millenium Catwoman". Last fall, I removed that image and others when there was rumor the "film/TV" gallery was being reconsidered. However, the entertainment property inspired gallery has remained. Moderators have stated images can stay until such time the copyright and trademark owners request their removal.
With that thought in mind, I decided to update the theme. When I rendered the original, I had not yet purchased Steve Cox's "UV Mapper Pro". Without it, the Dalek casings suffered from Poser's default angular "cutoff" of 100 degrees. The hard edges that should have appeared on the "skirt" slats effectively vanished. UV Mapper Pro allowed me to split selected vertices so that the desired seams would render.
Also at that time, I had only partially modeled a life support chair for Davros. I had completed the bulk of the chair, but it lacked the controls, the back rest and the distinctive cranial brace/array. Since the original posting, I've completed the chair and even improved the mad scientist's "mummy-esque" features. I discovered the "chef" suit from PoserWorld served as a viable substitute for his leather lab coat when retextured.
The Doctor, a renegade "Time Lord" from the planet Gallifrey, is my own interpretation loosely influenced by Peter Cushing's features, makeup and costume as presented in two theatrical movies featuring the Daleks. Fans, yes, including myself, realize Cushing's character is inconsistant with elements presented in the BBC television series "Doctor Who", but I've always had a fondness for his portrayels of Dr. Frankenstein and van Helsing in the old Hammer horror films. I can only wonder how he might have approached the Doctor if allowed to introduce a more cynical edge to his performance.

When I look at that picture I wonder what kind of wife Davros would have. Who is the woman behind the man? Who is the woman who made Davros the genocidal dictator he is today? What would she look like? Tentacles maybe? Hehehe. Yes. Yes. I know the historical details of his past. No wife. It's just something that's funny to think about. G. Great work!

I see I've never responded to the comments, all of them quite complimentary. Thank you all for the kind words. But let us not forget the skills of the content creators. They are the real artists. Edward (efox01), though you made your comments in good hearted jest, you might just find your answers in the "Big Finish" series of audio adventures. During the more recent years of the "Great Who Famine" (the 16 year gap between the "classic" series and the new BBC Wales presentation), BF obtained the rights to record radio styled original narratives featuring veterans of the original series, including the 5th through the 8th Doctors! One of these stories was simply titled "Davros" with Terry Molloy and Colin Baker reprising their respective roles. I, personally, have not had the opportunity to listen to this drama, but I understand it reveals glimpses into Davros' past, before injury and age confined him to his life support chair. I have purposely avoided reading anything that will spoil the story, but I think Davros once knew someone special, or, at the very least, he greatly admired her scientific intellect. In the recent Hyde Fundraisers stage play, "The Trial of Davros", this character actually appeared (She, like Davros and several other characters, was "scooped" out of time by the Gallifreyan Time Lords). In other words, your observation holds more truth than you may have realized. Sincerely, Bill

What a beauty this is seeing Davros was a treat amazing detail in the look and design of the characters including the Doctor! I would love to gotten more into the Davros character unfortunately getting an American version of the CD's of the Doctor have proven almost impossible! I would love to get my hands on the further adventures of the 8th doctor since we've been so otherwise robbed here in the U.S!
