Treasures from the past and an excellent story to go with it. There is much history that doll could tell you about the playful days of your grandmother. Very Moving. Aloha

A beautiful collage, Kimmers --- and a heartbraking story... Its always wonderful to be reminded of a good childhood - here your grandmas one - and to have some "souvenirs" of that ancient time... like the photo quite a lot - even if dolls of this kind always scare me a bit... dont really know why, but its a fact...! :-)

That is amazing!! Finding old stuff like that is facinating. My grandma had a Shirly Temple doll, too! I have it in my cedar chest. She got dropped so her eyes need to be fixed, but her clothes and hair are all still attached. This is a wonderful and sentimental shot. Very well done. :)

Ooo! That is sooo cool! I once found some old newspapers in the wall of an abandon house, but they only dated back to the 30's. 1918!!! That is so cool!! Now flatten them out and scan them! ;)

What a fascinating pic and story! In a sense, the papers you found in Peggy's head are the thoughts and memories of the doll herself. Seems like she's dreaming of a pair of new shoes! Peggy would have been an expensive doll when new - lucky Grandma - and so makes it quite a valuable antique today. I hope Peggy comes out of her closet one day and is restored to her former glory! Thanks for a very entertaining posting!
