Description

A big room with a few 'otherworldly' artifacts, and a spartan design layout. A few people examining the exhibits. This was an exercise in frustration. I think mainly with an overtaxed system (although I did this on both a Mac and a PC and had similar performance). I started with Omac's "Maths scene" freebie (at 3D Commune). I pared it down a bit and added in some stuff. Didn't change the lighting at all cause it looks so cool. At least I didn't change it at first. But the very soft shadow settings he had in combination with the glassy objects I had was slowing things down E-X-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y! I ended up rendering it in bits and pieces. The ovoid I rendered separately and added it in with Photoshop. The people are all lower-res versions. I cannot tell you how many hours this took. I've been working on it off-and-on for over a month! A rather plainly simple scene for so much labor, eh? Nevertheless... I did learn a lot doing this and I had fun working with it and watching the pieces come together.

It changes perpective on design having people and geometrics in sculptural form. It arrests aggresion and denies persistence.

Yep, the glass does it a treat. Man I know the frustration, but that's Bryce for you :p Very worth the pain, I like...;)

Yeah, I've not been making any new art to put here because this thing has had me bogged down for so long. I was determined not get side-tracked on something else until I got this one done! I think now for awhile I will follow after Omac2's approach: creating images very fast and on the moment. I am looking forward to that! You should be seeing more of me here shortly.

I like the stark futuristic design. Kinda reminds me of what a Vulcan Museum might be like.
