Description

The sandscapes attract my attention and I wonder how nature has been able to create these shapes. Lose sand connected so well! Sometimes these sand-formations look to me like very old cities in the middle-east. Enjoy your Sunday! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia II 100, 70 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

It seems like some areas have been beautifully carved with a knife. Then you wonder why the loose sand doesn't avalanche downwards. Beautifully captured. Aloha

There is a comparison in the bible between a man who builds his house upon sand and a man who built his house on rock. My father knew a man who lived all his life in a comfortable ranch house working at his family chain of gas stations until he developed atrial fibrulation. Then he bought a house near the Western shore of a lake on sand. His daughter moved to be close to him after she married. Then he moved to Florida where all the houses are built on sand. He never owned a computer. I don't think he even owned a calculator though he had been the accountant and used adding machines. The tiers of sand here hold the story of his later life. As the wind blows you can see streamers of sand cutting the edges.

There are so many nice contrasts in this image - sky and land, straw and sand, whites, blues, and browns. Gorgeous!

einfach bewundernswert, wie du das Wesentliche aus diesem Bild herausgehoben hast! ich glaube, die feuchtigkeit im inneren dieses hels wurde gespeichert, covered by sand and the weight was pressing it also, and now the sand on the shapes was blown away! ;o)

Excellent capture of some of Mother Nature's handiwork. Isn't it wonderful to be able to see and appreciate even something as simple as ribbons cut into the sand by wind?
