Description

Today I could try to ascend the Ginals valley but that would consume a lot of energy and I want to save some energy for the next day that will be the toughest hike of the vacation. So I decided to take an alternative track through the forest. Today I won't go higher than only 2250 m (7382 ft). There are some old trees in the forest and many of them are covered with lichens, like this one. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 80 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

FABULOUS capture Jan-Carel! That tree is beautifully decorated and you captured it so well!!!! :) Interesting...like Christmas...well...perhaps a bit different but that's what i think of...how even in nature the trees are decorated! almost looks like coral on the trees! such beautiful detail you captured, and i so much enjoy this image!!!!

The textures and colors are so well presented in this shot. I love walking forest trails and seeing this kind of natural beauty. A wonderful photo.
