Description

Ultrafractal 4.01 Here's one that's actually a VERY radical tweak of a previous abstract piece I made called "Armistice". I went nutz with the new "Explore" feature in UF and came up with this one. When I made the shapes, I noticed this neat zoom that reminded me of a prehistoric scene or maybe some Heavy Metal magazine type scene or a scene from the French animated movie, "Fantastic Planet". I was almost going to call it "Bedrock" after the Flintstones' home town. Since "Fred's wife", Hurricane Wilma, is projected to pass pretty close to Palm Bay on it's way out into the Atlantic, it kinda got me thinking along those lines - lol Thanks for stopping by! Rick ------------------------------------------------- Added 1-18-06: I entered this image under the title, "Bedrock", in the 2006 art contest at the Museum of Computer Art in Brooklyn, New York (moca.com) - the "Donnie" award. I reckon that's like "Oscar" or "Emmy". To my amazement and joy, it won FIRST PLACE! How cool is THAT??? ------------------------------------------------- ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints are also available*** :-)

I'm not surprised you won the competition - this is absolutely amazing piece of art, probably the best one based in fractals I've ever seen. I'm happy I found this image! Very inspiring, very fascinating. You've put there so much emotions. Such a beauty!

This is outstanding!!! I see a small plane's cockpit in the snowy mountains...perhaps crashed there? Wonderful! Wish I'd seen your stuff sooner. Still looking!
