Description

Took the kids to the zoo yesterday. GOt a zoo membership at the Los Angeles zoo so take the kids anytime for a year now! I support the breeding programs they have there... this is a strait shot not a collage. the birds were almost that color I only did a slight saturation on it. I Was only there and hour with four kids so couldnt do much..Next time I will try when the kids are in school so i can concentrate.. hard to focus with four kids spinning around you!!. haha could have been that CHRISSY was pulling me half the time COme on MOM, let's go see the next animal put that camera down!! LOL..shes a bit tired of my attention of the camera and wants more attention . Sometimes I wonder if I should just put it away at times . and sometimes I do but the pull is still there to shoot like a calling for me. Hard to explain. well I did this shot of two flamingos next to the falls cause i loved the long necks by the waterfall...and played with it alot today I hope not too much!!...These guys were really bright pink I think they have eaten too much shrimp!... Forgive me I have been so behind on comments this week the kids had fall break and things got a bit creazy... thanks for your time and comments! big hugs! .. ♥ luv, kimmers!

I have a distinct preference to this style of image than the collages you have done previously, no offense intended, but this is worthy of praise indeed, so a big well done to you...and keep practising with the Nikon, they're very adaptable cameras and can handle most situations.

Oh Kimmers this one is really incredible ! Never seen a coloration so deep ! It's not a Zoo... it's a small Paradise ! I also love the effect of the waterfalls behind the birds, so lovely ! A great shot Kimmers ! Complimenti !!!! V

It's too bad those tacky lawn ornaments have given theses creatures a bad rap! They are truly wonderous animals! What other creature in nature (Warm blooded) is such a perfect shade of "Barbie" pink??? And the have a slight dodo quality too. Excellent presentation! Love how you see the world!!

I love the softness of the water in the falls. Nice. I have never seen a real flamingo. Just the ones they put in yards down here. (YUK!!) They are actually beautiful and I like the color of these much better than the yard birds.

Oh My! They are looking at us looking at them! Fabulous color saturation results! The whole picture is very, very special. I can imagine what will follow now that you have an annual pass. Hey! Kimmie, why not get your daughter to take a whack at taking a picture, then help her with postwork and praise the heck out of her. She might get hooked in time. And what a nice way to have some quality mom and daughter time. If she says "No" at first, I bet she will change her mind after discovering the benefit of sharing time with you in a special way. Excellent image. V :)

I don't suppose they have a spare cage for the kids? Just one crit: you should have moved the bottom water fall slightly to the right (kidding - no that's wrong. how about Cliffing {kids shouldn't be blamed for everything}). If you've got this far. I do like...like...like. Cliff.

I can totally relate! When ever I bring my grandson hiking, he is 6, and alot of the pictures are of him, he is very impatient with me!When I hike with friends, they'll be like hiking along and,' where's Janice', I'm like a half a mile back toatally lost in my world. Oh well....Your shot is just gorgeous! They are a beautiful shade of pink, very 'Hot', and the water fall in the background is very cool!!! 8-)
