Description

Caledonia By Dougie MacLean I don't know if you can see The changes that have come over me In these last few days I've been afraid That I might drift away So I've been telling old stories, singing songs That make me think about where I came from And that's the reason why I seem So far away today Oh, but let me tell you that I love you That I think about you all the time Caledonia you're calling me And now I'm going home If I should become a stranger You know that it would make me more than sad Caledonia's been everything I've ever had Oh, but let me tell you that I love you That I think about you all the time Caledonia you're calling me And now I'm going home. Hi everyone.I was saving this pic to finish my Scotland series. But I thought it would be appropriate today.I always intended to use these lyrics,so please don't read too much into them!It just always appealed to me because it is from someone who is missing Scotland, which I do as well, and it certainly felt like home to me.(That's why I have it in the 'home' category, lol.I really AM a geek!) Anyway, the reason it's fitting is because I am going to be leaving RR.(Hopefully only for a while.)It's just that being active at RR is time-consuming and I am finding it difficult to juggle it and the other things that life throws your way.It takes me FOREVER to comment!Let me tell you,it doesn't help that I can only type with two fingers!!!So I'm going to take a few steps back and hopefully acquire me some time management skills!!! I sooooo love to see your work!It has always inspired me and I hope in some way I have given you something in exchange for that...I have agonized over whether I should allow comments today.I really felt I shouldn't but to be honest I really love when you leave them and if I don't come back to RR I'll wish that I had. I'm not deleting my gallery or anything.I could never do that! And I will definately pop in whenever I can.I still want to see what you guys are doing! A special hug to Tom,Maggie,Sheila,Andreas,Pascale,Gerhard and those of you who have so kindly befriended me along the way. You've all been wonderful. LOL!Sorry this babble was sooo long!I hope you don't mind.Just had stuff to say,you know? Take care everyone. MmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmWAH!!!! Marlene :^)

Sorry your time is short, mine too at times, think we all need to take time out now and then, I know I do, best wishes Marlene, hope your life is good, and that you will come back soon. Lina

I totally know what you mean. During my forced absence with the hurrincane and all, I realized how much I can pack into my life if I'm not at RO all the time. :) Still, I am saddenned that you won't be around so much. I count you as one of my close circle here at RO and whenever a circle is broken, it gets all wobbly and unbalanced and I just hate that. ;] Still, it isn't forever, so I'll just consider this a trial separation, and know that when you come back on a more full time basis, it will be that much sweeter. Good luck on that time management stuff, I'm hopeless there. As for the image, I am so impressed! How you got such detail through a think blurry airplane window amazes me. A gorgeous landscape...i can understand your longing for it and the quote above does fit. See ya around Marlenalouche!

So you're really gone? What a pity... About this shot: This is terribly difficult to get something good from inside a plane, this one is just stunning...!

what an amazing view through playful clouds onto wonderful fields! this it must look when we could fly by our own wings! really glad that will come back and that you don't delete your fantastic work! I know what you mean, there is enough other stuff in your life (mostly more important) you have to handle! commenting needs too much time and other things are waiting! take a deserved rest from us! g

I just flat refuse to believe what I've just read! ....OCHT....If you really have to leave make sure its not for too long. Nice to see you've posted a picture of my house at last, even if its only from the plane. (Well it could be eh?)
