dom zu limburg - detail I sometimes the details are important... ...and light's important anyway... a picture taken last sunday at a wonderful day in limburg with my wonderful lady... :)) shown is a details of the cathedral of limburg - a wonderful cathedral - quite unusual - a completely Romanesque cathedral - simple and beautiful... a very light cathedral... location: limburg, germany framing: what do you think...? --- next posting: dom zu limburg - detail II previous posting: dom zu limburg oh - well... ranking is open - but: i'd like to get honest ones... so a honest "NICE" with a useful comment is more worth than an excellent what is not meant this way... ;)
thanks for stopping by and watching :) and of course - critics, thoughts, whatever are welcome - the more useful the better... ;) so don't hesitate to point out things which could be done better... thank you! -christian picture taken with canon 300D postwork/framing in Xara X1/PSP9/PSE3

beautiful pic, so much so that is hard to believe it is real, especially catching the streams of light coming in like that. rank it as ethereal ?

Sublime photograph Christian. Your capture of the light streaming into the cathedral is out of this world. In fact, I can hear the nuns, or maybe monks, singing a beautiful chant from their enclosure. A heavenly place with wonderful mystical grace captured for all to see. Excellent + V

Beautiful photo Christian. Hard to tell if those are really rays of light of if theyre scratches on a window. It kinda looks as if it was shot through glass actually. Gorgeous tone in it. Really beautiful!!! The frame? Well...again i dont really see the need for that upper line crossing into the photo. But classy otherwise, i really like the font too. Stylish. Have a great sunday!!! #:O)

Given all that, I'm not sure how to rate! ;-D It's a great photo. A simple detail with a lot to see and the rays of light are just perfect. Just enough detail to please without overwhelming.

Limburg is the one place in Germany I've been to - I spent a couple of days there last year and would have liked to have gone inside this building but there just wasn't time! We did get to meet Martin Richard the mayor though - a really great guy :-) Thanks for sharing this shot my friend and hope to see more hugs. Like the typography too ;-)

Beautiful capture. gotta love those Romanesque/Byzantinian cathedrals, architectural phenomenons. Have you seen St. peters in vatican city? Amazing, Michelangelo's last work too. I love those carinthian pillars and the angle you captured them. any who, before i get on a art history tangent, post was very well done. I love the angle, keep it up!!!
