Description

Hello all ..., over the last few days ,as I have put up Abe and Grant - I have have several requests for the blue and Grey. SO I was going thru my pictures and remebered this young man around my daughters age 14. He was away from the battel and a bit upset and stewing . I think he had done something not fitting and they kicked him off the reenactment battle field. . So here he has just taken a swig of water and freom his perifial vision sees me -is trying not to show it - or the emotion of being angry. I like it cause it had mood and feeling in it just like a young boy would have in the 1860s during the cilvil war. Real emotion cannot be acted out in this way unless you are a professional actor. or really good. SO I am ignorant about the battle colors which side was he on you tell me. I love history but not paticularly war. This one is for you Kenmo cause you asked! I am sick with fever today my girls all have it. this has been a bad year for the flu.. I am considering a flu shot this year but afraid of the infected needle storys you hear about so havnt gone in to do it. love ya all - big hugs(lol cyber hugs cause i am ill )! ♥ ~Kimmers!

Amazing work with this fantastic image! The authenticity and feeling is very strong and they did a tremendous job depicting the Civil War! It's amazing to think of children being conscripted for war, and his expression truly shows the angst and anxiety of battle! Excellent work!

An excellent capture of his emotions. It adds so much to the reality of the scene. My first thoughts were "he's really angry, not just acting". This is one of the best people studies I've seen!
