Description

A bit more to the right we can see the glacier tongue (end) of a side glacier, the Mittelaletschgletscher (the Middle Aletsch Glacier), from where the melting water runs down to the Grosse Aletschgletscher. Notice the retreat of both glaciers, once connected and now you see the side moraine high above the glaciers (the sharp separation-line between grass and rocks). Nature an her awsume beauty! Terrifying too. For one step out of place and your in her hands for ever. I like how the clouds cast a shadow and then it really becomes a play on perspective and ones reality.
