Description

Taken earlier today in bushland at Crackneck Lookout on the Central Coast, New South Wales. We were taking a short bushwalk when this miniature scene presented itself at the side of the path. Taken with Nikon Coolpix 4500 - not with flash, it was just bright sunlight. No postwork or cropping. Thanks as always for stopping by and your feedback is always appreciated :-)

I was going to say that's an Angofora with a Sassperella growing on it, then I read where you took it and it's just up the road, I live on the Central Coast as well.

The line pattern is beautiful, it creates an abstract design.

This is absolutely spot on. A simple but effective one. The climber looks so determined. Love the clarity of the tendrils. The diagonal shot adds so much.

Thanks Suresh. My shot was actually pretty much vertical, it was the climber running diagonally :-)

Wonderful to see how nature finds fast objects to find a solid place! :)

Nature's color palette on this bark is fantastic. You have a splendid capture here Jim. Amazing how simple things can appear so miraculous when focused upon. The plant is somewhat uplifting, seeing how it stretches and stretches, ever reaching and grabbing. Excellent photograph.

Viewed on its side this could almost be a Martian landscape or something. I detect a link here between your assemblage paintings and the digital works. Anyway, well spotted! ps. Thanks for the message! Yes, we must have another EC collab. See what I can find to start it. Look forward to the one by Cassie and yourself. ;-) Cheers!

Beutiful textures & colours, the light seems almost surreal to me & the photo really looks like a painting imo too! Great capture Jim.

This is a fantastic shot - more like an abstract piece to me. The texture and colours you've captured are wonderful.
