Description

"He is outside of everything, and alien everywhere. He is an aesthetic solitary. His beautiful, light imagination is the wing that on the autumn evening just brushes the dusky window." --Henry James

The six preceding images in my gallery were taken from close-up photos of these 3 stained glass windows. They are set in the walls of a small church in Lake Placid, Florida. I had no idea how I would use the photos when I took them, only that I knew that there was something more there, waiting to be explored. I hope you enjoyed this little exploration. I may revisit it in the future -- find some more fodder for this spontaneous storyline -- but for now it is time to move on to other things. ----- Thanks for stopping by and for your snowy comments on my last photo, Edifice Of Prometheus.

When the pattern is in a horizontal position, it appears like a Monet water lily painting.

Wow - thanx for showing us the "total" work of art. I liked the details a lot and it's great to see what they look like "together". I'm so jealous, because I have a "stained glass"-quote, but unfortunately no matching window around right now :-(

Very interesting! I want windows like that! The light in the church must be awesome! Wouldn't it be great to wake up to that shimmering light? Great series, Kort! I can see how you became fascinated with those panes of glass. They look amazing!
