Description

"People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within" --Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Even a humble chapel can appear as grand as a cathedral when viewed from the proper perspective. I wonder what this says about the cathedral? Seen from high above, even a towering skyscraper can seem insignificant. It is not the size of the thing that matters, it is your perception that shapes your view of it. Just some random musings floating across the computer screen of my consciousness . . . ----- This is yet another photo of the chapel featured in my previous images. Thanks for stopping by and for your comments on my last photo, Windows To The Soul.

Superb shot and framing! All the more spectatular for the sliver of blue sky & a cloud. Gives it a Burton-esque surreal touch!

I like the fact that you got close enough to be able to discern the texture of the paint on the siding. I also like the quotation you chose for this piece. Very appropriate!

You're right, that is "my" stained-glass-quote. But as I have failed in finding the appropiate window yet, I'm glad to see you having used it for this beautiful image. And if by chance I ever find the "fitting" window, I will just use the quote anyway, because I like it very, very much ;-)

'The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light' (Matthew 6:22)' Standing in front of the Eiger North-side I feel dwarfed by the precipice towering more than a mile above me, but seen with Google earth it's 'just a peak'. Wonderful work, Kort, very thought-provoking! :)
