Description

One of a few renderings of a model I made in Lightwave and textured completely in Vue5I. There are 304,056,313 polies in this scene. I used Grey Scale Maps for all the Material and Eco placements, as well as for the Trestle texturing to show collected dirt areas. And I used Vue Filters to adjust Eco Size FallOff in conjunction with the Grey Scale Maps and placemet. I wanted the rocks to look as though they were being eroded away by the elliments. Oh, and I used the Z Buffer Vue rendered image for the DOF in PS. Worked like a charm, using the PS CS2 Lens Blur filter. ............md :)

Thanx, and the DOF for the farther away renderings, just get harder and hareder to get just right! Because there really, just isn't all that much change in the DOF on the farther away shots, it's just the way it is. Add slightly too much, and it ends up ruining the scene, and creating a scale to the image that makes it look too small. So, you really have to be VERY carefull with the DOF on these farther shots. But!, I'm learning. ................md :)

I don't think this can possibly get any better. That terrain you created is just impossibly real!!. Also the trestle work is done very well. This project which you undertook is fabulous and you have pulled it off with complete success. V

Incredible realistic terrain, that is sure. Only one little minor thing. The middle column is a little "clean" where it meets the ground. I would have expected some dirt/dust/vegetation in this region. The wind would collect some there i guess. But this is really minor minor minor, it is an amazing piece as it is!
