Description

Occasionally, I encounter someone so poor they can't replace their worn-out clothing. This is a portrait of such a person ... her plight tugs mightily at my heartstrings and makes me want to give until it hurts. Painter8 and PSP9

Wow, very well drawn - great use of shading and highlights - and the skin tones are perfect. One thing - perhaps the torn jeans are a fashion statement? ;) :P

This reminds me so much of an old girlfriend of my mine who used to wear a pair of torn jeans on purpose when I came over.... ;) Excellent beyond belief!

Wonderful artwork and wonderful sentiment. Such things tug at my heartstrings too. There is just too much poverty. Your painting in Painter is absolutely incredible. I just started to play with Painter last night so I can truly appreciate the skill it took for you to do this image. If you could recommend some good tutorials, I would greatly appreciate it. BOOK by Cher Threinen-Pendarvis is really helpful. http://www.pendarvis-studios.com DIGITAL CHARACTER DESIGN & PAINTING by Don Seegmiller seems pretty good although I haven't had time to go through all the chapters.
