Description

...inspired by an image I saw in the photo section here at Renderosity. I won't tell you which one, because then you'll probably be comparing the pictures and judging my work from that :) That would be beside the point, since I'm not trying to "recreate" the scenery, I just used it for inspiration. Wonderful capture, though :) Now, about my own work: Trees from Onyxtree, grass with "Bantam3D Grass 7". Rendered in Vue5I, 45 min. render in "Broadcast" with Global Ambience. 500 mio polys. A lot of tweaking with the colours/levels in Photoshop. Hope you like this, thanks for viewing and for any comments etc. you may wish to leave. Have a nice weekend - Lars

I am glad I saved yu as one of my favorite artists because this rendered image is awesome, tranquil, peaceful and love the foggy atmosphere. I heard of onyxtree but never used it. I have used Xfrog though.

Lars...this is absolutely gorgeous work. Your ability to capture the cold, moist winter feel is right on. The trees have all lost their leaves, the cold cloudy water and the thick dense air; incredible. V

OK, that is just phenomenal. It might not look exactly like the photo, but it definitely looks like a photo. And I agree with you about recreating a photo exactly. I mean, what's the point when you already have the photo? Much better your way. ;-)
