Description

A detail (the top left corner) of a sculptural canvas called The Lay of the Land which I uploaded yesterday. You'll be seeing this at life size or slightly bigger - the canvas texture is showing through in places. The lighting is actually coming from a different angle in this shot. Thank you for viewing and your feedback is always appreciated :-)

Great to see how the textures of the underlying materials come through in the detail Jim, gives a much better impression of what it must be like to see this for real.

I think the lighting works even better with this detail, Jim, thanks to the textures. I could also imagine this as the inspiration for a pencil sketch!

This would be fantastic just by itself Jim. I really like this style of art. Unique and beautiful. When I look at this, I get the feel of wind blowing off the ocean and the fence planted in the sand. I know that isn't what it is, but that's the "feeling" I get, probably from old memories.

It still feels a little odd commenting here when you are sitting right beside me, yet, as it seems here lately, this masterpiece just hasn't had enough viewings or comments, so I can't resist adding my 2 cents worth. This really is a magnificent work, to look at it in the flesh adds so much more dimension than a 2D photo can muster. Its been great to see you get back to traditional media, and I think you'll agree that these sort of results are well worth the effort ;) biggest hugs. Thank you SOOOO much for creating and sharing my dear friend, I appreciate it so much :) xxxx

Your work is incredible and intriquing. My sense of touch screams when I see this work. This applies actually to all of the similar peice in your gallery.Which I will indded get to and rate.Exceptional, unique and I certainly feel that I am walking through an Art gallery rather that this online gallery(but thankfully you are publishing here as I suspect your work is indeed in several actual"Galleries"!)
